Pradhan Manthri Koushal Vikas Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is a skill development initiative scheme of the Government of India for recognition and standardisation of skills The aim of the PMKVY scheme is to encourage aptitude towards employable skills and to increase working efficiency of probable and existing daily wage earners, by giving monetary awards and rewards and by providing quality training to them GANA through its participation in PMKVY 1,2 & 3 has trained over 60000 individuals.
Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme
Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLAD) is a scheme formulated in 1993 that enables the members of parliaments to recommend developmental work in their constituencies with an emphasis on creating durable community assets based on locally felt needs. Each MP gets allocated Rs.5 Crores per year to implement works in one or more districts addressing key priority sectors like Drinking water facility, education, electricity facility, non-conventional energy resources, healthcare and sanitation, irrigation facilities, railways, roads, pathways and bridges, sports, agriculture and allied activities, self-help group development, urban development. GANA has worked closely with various MPs across the country to create, collaborate and execute projects initiated under MPLAD.
Plantation Drive
Climate change has prompted most governments to commit a significant portion of their welfare funds towards maintaining ecological balance and lessening the effects of global warming. Preservation of Forests, Green belts and sustaining plant life are considered the most natural steps to preserve the environment. GANA Partnered with the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2019 in a plantation drive across 400 Social Welfare Schools spread over 13 districts. We planted over 1 Lakh seeds within 6 months, thereby receiving special recognition from the Government.
Advanced Vocational Training Scheme
Advanced Vocational Training Scheme (AVTS) was launched by Ministry of Labour with an aim to update the skills of serving industrial workers. Under this scheme GANA imparted training through short-term modular courses of one to six weeks’ duration in selected skill areas. Tailor-made courses suiting to the specific requirements of industrial establishments are also offered. By catering to the training requirement of industries / organizations by offering both short and long term courses; GANA ensured employment to its candidates in various Multi National Companies across the country.
District Mining Foundation Funds
District Mining Foundation Funds (DMFs) are funded by statutory contributions from holders of mining leases. Started in 2015, the fund are focused to drive development for the people living in the mining areas and those who have been bearing the brunt of mining pollution. Activities include rectification of environmental and land degradation in mining sites, measures to reverse contamination of groundwater, health, education and other social infrastructure for mining workers. GANA is focused on states with heavy mining activities like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Bihar to provide relief and welfare to Mining affected communities.
Standard Training Assessment and Reward Scheme
Standard Training Assessment and Reward Scheme (STARS) is for encouraging skill development among the youth by providing monetary rewards for successful completion of approved training programmes. It increased the productivity of existing workforce and aligned the training and certification to the needs of the country. STARS has affilitaions with eight Sector Skill Councils (Retail, IT-ITes, Automotive, Agriculture, Banking & Finance, Media & Entertainment, Telecom, Gem &Jewellery). GANA trained job seekers under this scheme for various such as: Trainee Associate, Sales Associate, Business Correspondent , Equity Dealer, Domestic Data Entry Operator, Warranty Processer, Animator, CRM Domestic- Non Voice , In-store promoter and many more such positions.
Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas
Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (APMEPMA) focused on improving quality of life by accessing services from all organisations through their own strong self-reliant and self-managed solutions. The mission engaged in creating Shelters, Livelihood units, supporting street vendors, running health camps and providing skill waged employment. GANA’s participated in projects that provided credit and financial freedom, addressed health, disability and vulnerability issues.
Development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups
The scheme of Development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) came into effect in 2008. Tribal communities have primitive traits, distinctive culture, geographical isolation, shyness to contact with the community at large and backwardness. some tribal groups have some specific features such as dependency on hunting, gathering for food, having pre-agriculture level of technology, zero or negative growth of population and extremely low level of literacy. We identified the PVTGs, supplementing the Ministry of Tribal Affairs’ effort to preserve and protect them we engaged in activities that improved Health Conditions, provided livelihood and saved their social-cultural way of living.
Rajiv Yuvakiranalu
Rajiv Yuvakiranalu was an employement program lauched by the Governement of Andhra Pradesh, it aims to employ over 15 lakh youth in the private sector. The vision of this program is to train a large number of uneducated, unemployed, and unskilled youth by providing them technical knowledge in a variety of courses like Welding, Accounts, Typing, Data entry, Multimedia, Tally, Supply chain management and customer relations etc GANA participated in this program and trained over 13,000 candidates with 97% student satisfaction rates.
